הודעה מטעם החברה העולמית ליל"ד/ 03.2009

TO:  ISH FORUM MEMBERS

Dear Forum Member,

We are contacting you as a key link between the Forum of the International Society of Hypertension and the members of your Society. As you know, the ISH is keen to foster closer links with our Affiliated Societies. One meaningful way of building strength would be to have members of your Society become members of the ISH.  There are two major opportunities.

The first is Regular Membership with its attendant benefits detailed below.  Indeed, there are potentially reduced rates available to members of Societies that come from countries included in the list provided by HINARI and you might like to advertise this fact, should it pertain (for a list of the eligible countries, please click on: http://www.ish-world.com/documents/countries_eligible.pdf).

Secondly, the recently announced Research Fellowships are a special category of membership for younger members who are undertaking a research higher degree. They are entirely free and come with all the benefits of normal membership excluding receipt of the Journal of Hypertension. This is a special opportunity and would enhance the CV of any young research or clinical scientist (please see http://www.ish-world.com/default.aspx?ResearchFellow for more details).

With this in mind, we should be very grateful if you could distribute the Invitation below to members of your Society.

LATEST NEWS:

Could we also take this opportunity of letting you know that the ISH website has recently been updated with information on the newly launched ISH Research Scholar Fellowship Award and access to the WHO/ISH Training Manual for Cardiovascular Risk Assessment and Management – please click on the links under ‘Latest News’ on the website’s Home Page: http://www.ish-world.com/default.aspx?Home

Thank you for your assistance and your enthusiasm for the mutual support achieved through the Forum of the ISH.

With kind regards,

Professor Stephen Harrap
ISH Secretary and Forum Officer
